ACC celebrates Earth Week 2023 with more than 60 events districtwide during the week of April 17-22. Students, faculty, staff, and the community are invited to participate in these sustainability events.

“We celebrate Earth Week at ACC to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and promoting sustainable practices to help ensure a healthier and brighter future for all,” says Andy Kim, Energy & Sustainability director.

ACC will kick off Earth Week 2023 on Saturday, April 15, by joining Keep Austin Beautiful Day, a citywide day of community service. The college will host clean-up events at Roy G. Guerrero Park (near ACC Riverside campus), N. Walnut Creek Park (near ACC Northridge Campus), Blunn Creek Park, and Lady Bird Lake.

Starting Monday, April 17, ACC’s Office of Energy & Sustainability and volunteers host dozens of Earth Week events districtwide, including film screenings, potted plant parties, a book swap, a bike ride, seed ball and bird feeder activities, presentations, walk & talks, and more. Everybody is welcome to join in to help the events, have fun and continue our movement. Our earth needs more than a week of loving care.
