With voter approval of the 2022 bond program, ACC has started work on the procurement process for bond-funded projects across the district.

The college is focusing its initial efforts on four campuses — Round Rock, Hays, Pinnacle, and the Southeast Travis county site.

ACC Finance & Administration Executive Vice Chancellor Neil Vickers told Trustees that the Round Rock, Hays, and Southeast Travis campus projects will provide the “biggest bang” for the expansion of ACC’s high-demand applied technologies and health sciences programs. The Pinnacle campus building will be focused on general education with some offerings in business, health sciences, and computer science. The college wants to get an architectural firm for Pinnacle on board early to facilitate public input processes.

Below is the timeline for when selections will be brought to the board for approval:

April
Architecture & Engineering Team for Round Rock Campus

May
Architecture & Engineering Team for Hays Campus

June
Architecture & Engineering Team for Southeast Travis County
Contractor for Round Rock Campus

July
Architecture & Engineering Team for Pinnacle Campus
Contractor for Hays Campus

August

The college will kick off planning for the full bond program over the next few weeks, with a goal to have it finalized by August 2023.
