Austin Community College District (ACC) hosts a series of events for National Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT) Week 2023, January 16-20, and invites students, faculty, staff, and the community to participate.

The events are centered around this year’s theme: “Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Begins with Me.”

ACC’s TRHT Campus Center has partnered with the college’s Culinary Department, The Art Gallery, the Austin Public Library, and more to present the events, which include a culinary demonstration, racial healing circles, roundtable discussions, panels, workshops, and art exhibits.

ACC also is participating in the MLK Community March on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 16. Anyone interested in participating should look for the ACC contingency, led by Darrell Merriweather, near the MLK statue on the University of Texas campus at 9 a.m. ACC marchers are encouraged to wear purple and bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to donate to the Capital Area Food Bank.
