Construction continues on the Make It Center at ACC Highland Campus. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the fall semester.

The following update has been provided by Dr. Janelle Green, ACC Make It Center director:

Drywall was installed and finished in August and painting is now underway. 90% of the overhead electrical service installations are complete. Crews also have installed the frames for bench seating in the showroom. Work is now underway to install new, raised flooring in the area as well as acoustical ceiling treatments, lighting, and carpet. Concrete polishing is ongoing and woodwork within the space has begun.

Furniture specifications and fabrics are finalized, and a majority of the furniture under $30,000 has been ordered. The process to purchase and install more expensive furniture and equipment needs is underway.

The following team members have been hired since the spring: Operations and Guest Experience Manager Mary Roby, Programming Manager Adrian Perez, IT/AV Manager Tim Outlaw, and, most recently, Programming Coordinator AJ Mays.
