If you missed ACC’s 2022 Summer Software Day, recordings of the workshops are now available. More than 200 employees registered for the annual event hosted by TLED’s Faculty Development team on Friday, July 22, 2022.
Faculty and staff engaged in online workshops throughout the day. All workshops provided employees with a chance to grow their skills and knowledge. Attendees had the opportunity to learn how to gamify their lessons, get updated on Google offerings and upcoming changes, familiarize themselves with a new software/case management system for students with disabilities, and more.
Workshops included:
- ACC Resources
- Accessibility and Universal Design
- Active and Engaged Teaching
- Assessment Techniques
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB)
The keynote, entitled ‘The Flow of the Future,’ was presented by recent ACC graduate Nathan Lu. Lu spoke passionately about his time at ACC, where he studied Computer Science and became a student leader in the department. Lu also outlined many ways faculty can support students with a variety of learning styles and backgrounds.
Feedback from participants included: “What a fantastic idea to have Nathan as the keynote speaker. This is one of the most thought-provoking and inspirational workshops I have attended in a long time.”
The day culminated with a raffle. Prizes included TLED swag bags and an iPad. Congratulations to our winners:
- Kelsi Dillon
- Arcelia Anguiano
