ACC is launching its new Bachelor of Applied Technology in Manufacturing Engineering Technology (BMET) in fall 2022 to connect students with Central Texas’ growing manufacturing industry. The program is currently seeking applicants for its first cohort. 

The program has received approval from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and is pending full Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) approval.

The college is hosting virtual and in-person information sessions in May and June. 

The program will be housed at ACC Highland with both full- and part-time cohorts. It will include hybrid and online course options and an internship component for all students. 

The first cohort is limited to 40 students.

Students who have completed applicable Associate of Applied Science degrees may apply for the program. Concentration areas include, but are not limited to, Advanced Manufacturing, Architecture & Engineering Computer-Aided Design, Computer Information Technology, Engineering Technology, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, and Welding Technology.
