Austin Community College District (ACC) is in the process of hiring a new Vice Chancellor of Human Resources. The search began after the departure of former Vice Chancellor of HR, Gerry Tucker. The position was advertised on job sites nationwide to recruit a highly experienced leader, and now the college is preparing to begin interviews.

A hiring committee has been formed and includes representatives from each of the four employee associations and from each division of the college — Instruction, Student Affairs, Campus Operations, etc.

There were about 90 applicants for the position. Interviews are set to begin in early May. The process is expected to take approximately a month and will include two rounds of interviews.

The college expects to identify a finalist toward the end of May, and hopes to welcome the new vice chancellor in June.
