ACC hosts a series of virtual events for 2022 Transfer Week Monday, February 7, to Friday, February 11. With more than half of students enrolled at ACC reporting they intend to transfer, the events offer students an opportunity to connect with universities and ACC’s transfer team to learn more about what it takes to have a successful transfer. 

Universities participating include the University of Texas at Austin, Texas State, Concordia, St. Edward’s, Texas A&M, and more. 

Highlighted events:

Monday, February 7 | Smart Start To Your Bachelor’s Degree
Participants will learn a general overview of effective transfer planning to start pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Questions also will be answered on transfer support resources available at ACC. 

Tuesday, February 8 | Transfer Essay Workshop
Essays are often part of a transfer application. This workshop will review common transfer essay prompts, help you identify what topics to write about, and show you how to craft a strong, well-written essay.

Wednesday, February 9 | University Transfer Panel
Participants will hear directly from university admissions representatives for a panel discussion on transfer admissions, helpful hints, and information on their institutions. Participating Universities: Texas A&M-San Antonio, University of North Texas, UT Dallas, and Stephen F. Austin.

Thursday, February 10 | Find the Right University for You 
Students will discuss finding a university that meets educational needs, supports future goals, and the best university fit to lead to success. Participants will hear about factors to consider when researching potential transfer universities.

ACC maintains its recognition as the No. 1 college in Texas for transfer student success according to The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), meaning more of our students go on to a four-year university and earn their bachelor’s degree within four years. The college has articulation agreements with more than 60 universities.
