Austin Community College District encourages you to vote!

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A number of entities in the ACC service area are holding local elections on November 2, including the City of Austin, which has two ballot initiatives to consider. In addition, the State of Texas has several constitutional amendments on the ballot.

This is a friendly reminder that you can take administrative leave to vote:

Administrative Rule 6.09.005 Non-Accrued Paid Leave

VIII. Voting Leave

  • Employees are encouraged to participate in any local, state and national electoral process.
  • Employees who wish to vote during their regularly scheduled working hours may use up to two (2) hours of administrative leave.

Please take advantage of this very generous benefit that ACC offers to all of us.  It is important for you to work with your supervisor to schedule this time off for voting.

Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties have Election Centers and you can vote at any polling location in your county.
