Austin Community College District’s (ACC) Office of Energy & Sustainability offers free registration for all ACC students, faculty, and staff to attend a couple of upcoming virtual conferences at no cost.

The conferences are open to those who want to learn more about how they can contribute to ACC’s sustainability goals. Faculty also can assign conference sessions to students attached to a reflection assignment to complete service-learning objectives.

Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education

Taking place October 12-14, 2021, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education’s (AASHE’s) Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education brings together sustainability leaders from around the world in a virtual format to share effective models, policies, research, collaborations and transformative actions that advance sustainability in higher education and surrounding communities.

Follow the instructions below to register:

  1. Click HERE to register (select ‘Attendee’).
  2. Fill out all the relevant fields.
    • Use your institutional email address only. The discount code is linked to ACC’s email domain (Employees: @austincc.edu, Students: @g.austincc.edu). Other email addresses will not work with the discount code and will be deleted.
  3. After entering your ticket, but before clicking Checkout, enter promotional code AUSTINCC09222021 and hit ‘Apply’. This will drop your total to $0.00.  
  4. Complete your registration.

Texas Regional Alliance for Campus Sustainability Summit

The Texas Regional Alliance for Campus Sustainability (TRACS) is a network of faculty members, students, and sustainability professionals that implement climate change and sustainability solutions in higher education. The aim of the annual TRACS Summit, happening November 8-9, 2021, is to share, learn, and work together to achieve sustainable program success on our campuses, leading to enhanced sustainability statewide.
