Austin Community College (ACC) faculty and instructional staff are invited to join Chancellor Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart and Dr. Gaye Lynn Scott for ACC’s first Faculty Town Hall, happening Friday, November 21, 2025, from 9-10:30 a.m., virtually via livestream.

This inaugural event represents a new collaborative effort between the Faculty Senate, Adjunct Faculty Association, and College leadership to strengthen open and consistent communication across all faculty groups. The Faculty Town Hall provides a transparent and supportive space for full-time and adjunct faculty to engage directly with the Chancellor and Vice Chancellors, hear institutional updates, celebrate faculty successes, and raise pressing issues that impact teaching and learning at ACC.

The virtual session will feature:

  • Leadership Updates: Sharing key College priorities and initiatives.
  • Celebrations & Kudos: Recognizing outstanding faculty contributions.
  • Pressing Issues & Feedback: Addressing major concerns and following up on prior questions.
  • Faculty Q&A: Engaging in open dialogue through submitted and live questions.

Faculty are encouraged to submit questions or concerns in advance using the Faculty Town Hall Question and Concern Submission Form. Submissions may be anonymous or attributed, and responses will be addressed during the event or in the follow-up summary shared afterward.

This new model builds trust, equity, and appreciation, ensuring all faculty have a seat at the table and reinforcing ACC’s core values of courage, compassion, joy, and yes, through authentic, two-way communication.

American Sign Language interpreters will be available for accessibility. Please note that mobile viewing is not compatible with this format. ACC recommends logging in through a desktop or laptop for the best experience.

A recording of the conversation and the Q&A transcript will be posted on the Town Hall Meetings web page after the conversation.
