At Austin Community College District (ACC), an estimated 28% of our student population is also parents. Support for this group is critical and can impact their success on campus and within their family.

ACC faculty and staff are invited to join Kristen Hennesey, a current nursing student, parent, and Family U Fellow, for the Balancing Act: Student Parents in Higher Education workshop. This session is designed to illuminate the student-parent experience, identify common struggles and barriers, clarify institutional and federal policies, and offer ideas for building an inclusive environment for all ACC student parents.
