As part of Austin Community College’s (ACC) ongoing partnership with Google, the Teaching & Learning Excellence Division (TLED) is excited to offer free Google training sessions for ACC faculty and staff on Friday, January 19, 2024.

These sessions will be delivered through Zoom Webinar by a third-party vendor who specializes in delivering Google training for end users. Registered participants will receive the Zoom link closer to the workshop date.

Workshop Information

All sessions take place Friday, January 19, 2024.

1 – 1:50 p.m. | Gmail for Smarter Communication
This session provides a comprehensive introduction to Gmail, focusing on its basic functionalities, organization strategies, and integration with Google Workspace tools. It also includes practical tips for efficient email management, tailored to the needs of educators.

2 – 2:50 p.m. | Google Calendar for Organized Scheduling
This workshop explores Google Calendar’s features, demonstrating how educators can effectively manage their schedules, create and share events, and utilize appointment slots. It also covers innovative ways teachers are using Google Calendar for classroom management and lesson planning.

3 – 3:50 p.m. | Google Forms for Insightful Feedback
This session delves into the creation, customization, and application of Google Forms for various purposes, including quizzes, surveys, and feedback forms. Advanced features like branching logic, integration with other Google Workspace tools, and practical use cases in education are also highlighted.
