ACC is now hiring a part-time Career/Workforce Preparation Trainer to help prepare students for transition into employment.
The person hired for this role will work directly with students to help match their credentials, skills, interests, and backgrounds to job opportunities. Additionally, the Career/Workforce Preparation Trainer will position students for optimal success by proactively addressing challenges, coordinating needed services, and making referrals as appropriate based on individual need.
The person in this position also will liaison and train internal stakeholders in order to integrate career readiness and job preparation throughout the ACC student experience and coordinate job clubs and fairs.
The opportunity supports ACC’s Today’s Jobs program — which provides free monthly classes to students and community members seeking employment and offers one-on-one job coaching support to students currently and previously enrolled in the program.
The ideal candidate will have availability between 1 to 8 p.m., as needed, to support the class schedule, which can be found at austincc.edu/strategies.
