ACC hosts a series of forums to help faculty and staff understand the new community college outcomes-based funding model — known as House Bill 8 — and what it means for the college. The bill passed by the 88th Texas Legislature restructures how community colleges receive funding and goes into effect September 1, 2023.
The HB8 Roadshow is presented by Dr. Gaye Lynn Scott, Vice Chancellor of Instruction, and Dr. Jenna Cullinane Hege, Vice Chancellor of the Office of Institutional Research and Analytics. They will discuss the new community college funding model, the benefits it will have for ACC funding, how it will help ACC focus on its core mission of student success, and some of the possible impacts on unit-level planning and continuous improvement.
The forums are open to all ACC faculty and staff, with the option to attend in person or online.
