The Austin Community College District (ACC) Board of Trustees approved several contracts for the 2022 General Obligation Bond Projects at their regular July meeting. The contracts include a construction manager at risk for the Hays and Southeast Travis Campuses and architectural and engineering teams for the Pinnacle Campus.

Hays Campus

The college received eight submissions for the construction manager at risk solicitation for the Hays Campus. The board approved Kitchell Contractors, Inc. to construct Building 5000 and a Central Utility Plant to serve the campus. The Hays Campus has been allocated $100 million through bonds. This funding will facilitate the addition of Nursing and other Health Science programs at the campus.

Southeast Travis County Campus

SpawGlass Contractors will serve as the construction manager at risk for the Southeast Travis County Campus. In total, the college received eight proposals. The bond dedicated $200 million to the new campus, which will go on a 76-acre plot of land the college purchased to accommodate career and technical education growth. The campus will include the construction of several buildings and will include spaces for Advanced Manufacturing and Skilled Trades.

Pinnacle Campus

The board approved the first step for the Pinnacle Campus project. After reviewing 14 submissions, FGM Architects was approved to serve as the project’s Architectural & Engineering services provider. The firm will design and oversee the construction of a new building for the campus. The bond proposal dedicated $75 million to the project. The new building will offer general education, software development, and health care.
