Fall 2023 registration remains ongoing at ACC, and the college is already reporting a significant increase in new student enrollments.

As of Tuesday, July 18, the unduplicated headcount of new students was up 35% from last year and 43% from two years ago. Overall, student enrollment is up 6.5% from last year and 5.5% from two years ago. So far, the unduplicated student enrollment is 24,693.

Data show new students also continue to look for flexible options such as online and 8-week classes.

New student enrollment in online-only classes is up approximately 19% over fall 2022. New student enrollment for at least one online option and in-person courses is up 21%.

New student enrollment in 8-week classes is up 47% compared to last year and 66% compared to two years ago overall.

This fall, ACC launches a new degree option — students can earn an Associate of Science in Business Administration degree (BUA) entirely through 8-week classes at the Northridge Campus.

Daily registration reports indicate enrollment growth in high-demand sectors of Science, Engineering, and Math (SEM); Computer Science & IT (CS/IT); Design, Manufacturing, Construction, and Applied Technologies (DMCAT); and Liberal Arts compared to fall 2022.

  • CS/IT: 3.1% increase
  • DMCAT: 4.1% increase
  • Liberal Arts (Humanities and Communications): 12.2% increase
  • Liberal Arts (Social and Behavioral Science): 10.9% increase

ACC expects fall enrollment to continue to grow. Registration remains open. Classes begin Monday, August 21.
