Austin Community College (ACC) announces Dr. Andrea L. Kehoe as the inaugural Head of Product at the college.
In this role, Dr. Kehoe will serve as a key partner for faculty and staff to assist with the technical and strategic elements of innovation. Under the Provost’s Office, she will work with our district to identify and assess the feasibility of new opportunities, develop a strategy for launching new innovations, and assist the college with executing ideas for new products and services that advance student success.
With nearly 20 years of experience in academia and industry, Dr. Kehoe is a proven leader and collaborator with a strong record of transformational leadership. Dr. Kehoe has devoted her career to championing student success. She has worked in roles including admissions, student and academic affairs, enrollment and course management, and marketing and communications. Her professional career in higher education started at ACC, where she served as a Spanish-language marketing assistant.
Dr. Kehoe has led the student affairs and operations for academic and professional programs in both the McCombs School of Business and the College of Education at The University of Texas at Austin (UT-Austin). In 2021, she was recognized by the university for her staff excellence and service with the Rising Star Award. Prior to her career in higher education, she was a manager in the hospitality industry with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
Dr. Kehoe is a graduate of the Executive Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership Program in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy at UT-Austin, where her research focused on women in community college leadership and the impact of mentoring on women leadership development. She also holds a B.S. in Communication Studies, a B.A. in Spanish, and an M.Ed. from the Program in Higher Education Leadership from UT-Austin. She is a member of the Comparative and International Education Society.
Dr. Kehoe enjoys spending time with her husband, her twin brother, and their many nieces and nephews.
Dr. Kehoe’s first day was November 7, 2022. She spent the past month visiting our campuses and will host a series of formal meet and greet opportunities throughout the district beginning in the spring 2023 semester.
