Austin Community College District (ACC) Chancellor Russell Lowery-Hart will open the Chronicle Festival 2025 on Tuesday, September 16 (1:40–2:30 p.m. CST), joining a national leadership panel on “What It Takes to Support Students Now?”
The session will tackle how higher education leaders are navigating the future of student support amid political uncertainty and increased scrutiny of DEI efforts. As one of only two higher education leaders featured in this opening panel, Chancellor Lowery-Hart will highlight ACC’s leadership in supporting both traditional and adult learners at a time when the role of colleges is more important than ever.
The festival draws 3,000–5,000 higher education professionals nationwide and positions ACC on the national stage for thought leadership in student success.
