About 200 people filled the Lockhart Lions Club on October 2 to learn more about Austin Community College District (ACC).
“We had over 100 district employees that represented all parts of the college that helped pull off the event. It was joyful to see you working in collaboration and teamwork. The feeling, energy, and commitment in that room was inspiring to me,” says ACC Chancellor Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart, who spoke at the event.
The hall was covered in Riverbat purple, with tables staffed by ACC employees to talk to Lockhart-area residents at many of the programs that ACC has to offer. There were College representatives from skilled trades and transfer programs to health care programs like nursing and dental hygiene.
Staff were also available to answer questions regarding registration and financial aid. The College also provided tacos and cookies.
