Austin Community College District (ACC) invites students, employees, and the community to Take Back the Night. Every year, the college recognizes Sexual Assault Awareness Month through Take Back the Night (TBTN),  a worldwide movement that started in the 1970s to shatter the silence on sexual assault and domestic violence.

ACC’s Take Back the Night

Date: Tuesday, April 30
Time: 2 – 4 p.m.
Location: ACC Highland Campus, Building 4000, Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Center

TBTN will provide participants the opportunity to listen to survivor stories; share their experience, if they choose; learn about available resources; and participate in a trauma-informed mindfulness exercise facilitated by YWCA of Greater Austin

The event is sponsored by ACC’s Office of Equal Opportunity Compliance and ACC’s Mental Health Counseling team.

If you or someone you know is struggling with domestic violence or sexual assault, you can reach out to the Office of Equal Opportunity Compliance. Below are additional resources available to students and employees.
