ACC celebrates professionals who use simulation to improve safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in healthcare during Healthcare Simulation Week, Monday, September 12, through Friday, September 16.

ACC opened the doors to the ACC Regional Simulation Center at Highland Campus last year. The space provides hands-on training for future healthcare professionals through instructional spaces, skills labs, simulation rooms, patient clinic simulations, and support spaces.

In honor of Healthcare Simulation week, ACC Nursing and Surgical Technology students will be running simulations out of the Regional Simulation Center all week.

Healthcare Simulation is a learning tool that recreates a realistic healthcare environment. The goal is to provide students with an atmosphere where they can experience and train in a setting that mirrors the real world. It enhances the teaching and learning experience for students to both gain new skills and refreshes old ones. Students also practice and improve the delivery of safe and effective patient care.

The fifth annual global event is sponsored by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
