Implementing the Student Information System of Workday aligns with ACC’s Strategic Plan Goal 4 to provide effective and efficient operations and infrastructure. Workday will improve access to students’ information and enable optimization of operating efficiencies by improving the user experience; automating processes; and providing coherent, consistent, and relevant data to support the short and long-term goals of the College. Each of these efforts aligns with the Chancellor’s Priority of modernizing ACC’s Technology Resources to enhance the student experience and ensure employees have adequate resources to do their jobs effectively.
The Student Information System is the official record of the college, containing academic records and data for all ACC students, and includes most processes affecting students. ACC’s student information system is currently Ellucian Colleague. Workday Student will be ACC’s new student information with full implementation for Fall 2025.
Enterprise Systems (and ERP) is shorthand for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. They are the primary software systems that store an organization’s data and allow that data to be used seamlessly across the organization. This means that information about a student or about an employee, or about the class schedule, or about a student’s tuition bill, is all stored in one single system, with users interacting with all the same information in real-time. These systems can also help automate workflows, aid in real-time reporting, and provide greater security controls.
