ACC Riverside Campus has a new dean of Student Affairs effective March 1, 2022 — Olga Eckert.

Eckert has worked at ACC since 2004 and has served in various roles across multiple departments. She joined the Riverside Student Affairs team in 2014 and has worked diligently to further the student-centered mission of ACC. During her tenure as the Riverside Advising Supervisor, she set the standards of excellence in delivering campus support services by streamlining campus processes, maintaining collaborative interdepartmental relationships, and ensuring a positive student experience. As adjunct faculty, she enjoys teaching first-year students in the Liberal Arts area of study.

In addition to her professional experience in academia spanning two decades across varying institutions, including the University of Texas at Austin, Austin Community College, Samara State University, and Nayanova Private University, Eckert has served as a coordinator for the Disaster Behavioral Health Branch of the State Health Department where she became well versed in critical incident stress management, conflict resolution, and mediation.

Eckert holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas-Austin and both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Linguistics from Samara State University.

In her spare time, Eckert enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, and reading.
