{"id":961,"date":"2021-10-05T14:15:37","date_gmt":"2021-10-05T20:15:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/?p=961"},"modified":"2021-11-01T16:18:35","modified_gmt":"2021-11-01T22:18:35","slug":"give-to-the-2021-state-employee-charitable-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/blog\/2021\/10\/05\/give-to-the-2021-state-employee-charitable-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"Give to the 2021 State Employee Charitable Campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Austin Community College District (ACC) employees are encouraged to support their community by participating in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/offices\/human-resources\/programs-and-initiatives\/state-employee-charitable-campaign\">2021 State Employee Charitable Campaign<\/a> (SECC), which takes place throughout the month of October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The college\u2019s 2021 SECC goal is $50,000. During the last year\u2019s SECC, ACC faculty and staff donated a total of $42,127. Of that, more than $5,500 went to the ACC Foundation, which was matched for a total of more than $11,000 for student scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACC\u2019s Human Resources will announce the \u201cMost Giving Campus\u201d awards in November to the campuses that raise the most funds through payroll deductions and individual donations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ways to Give<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Payroll deduction &#8211; Make a payroll contribution of as little as $2 a month<\/li><li>Individual donation &#8211; Make a one-time payment to the charity of your choice using your debit\/credit card<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where to Give&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secctexas.org\/sites\/secctexas.org\/files\/SECC2021_DIRECTORY-COMBO_online-version-508compliant.pdf\">2021 Charity Guide Booklet<\/a> lists all of the approved charities for this year, or you can search your favorite charity through the searchable <em>Charity Finder<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/secctexasgiving.org\/_root\/index.php?content_id=1630\">HERE<\/a>.
