{"id":749,"date":"2021-08-16T16:26:35","date_gmt":"2021-08-16T22:26:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/?p=749"},"modified":"2021-08-16T16:26:36","modified_gmt":"2021-08-16T22:26:36","slug":"new-articulation-agreements-in-ay21-to-benefit-transferring-acc-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/blog\/2021\/08\/16\/new-articulation-agreements-in-ay21-to-benefit-transferring-acc-students\/","title":{"rendered":"New articulation agreements in AY21 to benefit transferring ACC students"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite the pandemic and winter storm Uri, Austin Community College District (ACC) continued to expand its partnerships in the 2021 academic year to benefit students who plan to transfer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nine articulation agreements were executed by the Office of Articulation and University Relations in 2020, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An agreement with UT Medical Branch (UTMB)-Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to UTMG\u2019s PTA to Doctor of Physical Therapy Bridge Program.<\/li><li>A general articulation agreement with Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA). Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/news\/2021\/01\/acc-and-stephen-f-austin-state-university-form-new-partnership\">here<\/a>.<\/li><li>A second agreement with SFA amended Business Degree Alignments to add:<ul><li>Accounting<\/li><li>Banking<\/li><li>Business Communication and Corporate Education<\/li><li>Business Economics<\/li><li>Economics<\/li><li>Entrepreneurship<\/li><li>Finance<\/li><li>General Business<\/li><li>International Business<\/li><li>Human Resources Management<\/li><li>Management<\/li><li>Marketing<\/li><li>Sports Business<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Texas Tech University Health Science Center, School of Nursing, Amendment #2 for RN-to-BSN Early Decision Agreement was renewed.<\/li><li>Texas Tech University Health Science Center, School of Health Professions, AAS Emergency Medical Services to BS Healthcare Management was revised.<\/li><li>Bellevue University \u2014 a private university based in Omaha, Nebraska, with a long history of providing online bachelor\u2019s degree completion pathways in more than 50 undergraduate career fields \u2014 to allow associate degree completers to be eligible for a tuition discount.<\/li><li>Texas A&amp;M University-Central Texas that includes complete course and degree applicability, reverse transfer, data sharing, and institution-wide cooperation and collaboration. Learn more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/news\/2021\/01\/acc-and-texas-am-university-central-texas-expand-partnership\">here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Articulation agreements executed from spring to mid-summer 2021 include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Texas Woman\u2019s University &#8211; AAT in Education, AAS in Child Development to online BS in Education.<\/li><li>Texas Woman\u2019s University &#8211; AAS Dental Hygiene to online BS Dental Hygiene. Dual-Enrollment Program, with co-enrollment option for students admitted into the AAS program.<\/li><li>Stephen F. Austin State University &#8211; AAS Biology, Chemistry to BS Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry with teaching pathway.<\/li><li>Texas A&amp;M University-Central Texas &#8211; AS\/AAS in Business with online Business and Computer Science bachelor\u2019s (BA\/BS\/BAAS) pathways, with graduate-level options; BAS to MS in Information Systems pathway.<\/li><li>St. Edward\u2019s University &#8211; AAS Visual Communication (UX\/UI) to BS in Graphic Design (UX\/UE) &#8211; customized pathway for the AAS.<\/li><li>University of Alaska-Fairbanks &#8211; Four pathways: AAS in Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement, AAS Criminal Justice-Corrections, AAS Emergency Management, and AAS Fire Protection Technology to Bachelor of Security Management. This pathway is completely online and ACC students will pay in-state tuition.
