Have you committed to moving more this year? ACC faculty and staff are invited to participate in a couple of friendly exercise competitions where they can compete against other ACC campuses and\/or state agencies and higher education institutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This annual competition among ACC campuses is sponsored by ACC HR Wellness and runs Monday, January 30, through Sunday, April 9, 2023<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Employees at all exercise levels are encouraged to participate and set an activity goal for the 10-week challenge. Participants will log their exercise minutes each week, and these minutes will contribute to the campus\u2019 total. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Faculty and staff who reach their activity goal will win a prize, and the campus with the most recorded exercise minutes will be named ACC\u2019s \u2018Most Active Campus.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n Participants will also receive tip sheets and motivating messages periodically throughout the program, and there will be opportunities for virtual check-ins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The deadline to register is Monday, February 6<\/strong>. Sign up HERE.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Get Fit Texa<\/strong>s<\/a> is a statewide exercise challenge that overlaps with ACC\u2019s Exercise Stars Challenge. In this competition, ACC competes against other employees from state agencies and higher education institutions across Texas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n This competition runs January 23 to April 2, 2023. <\/strong>The goal for Get Fit Texas is to log 150 minutes a week of movement for at least six of the 10 weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Exercise Stars participants may earn bonus minutes for weekly participation in this challenge as well.
