{"id":2702,"date":"2022-11-15T16:11:26","date_gmt":"2022-11-15T22:11:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/?p=2702"},"modified":"2022-11-17T07:48:56","modified_gmt":"2022-11-17T13:48:56","slug":"go-purple-on-wednesday-11-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/blog\/2022\/11\/15\/go-purple-on-wednesday-11-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Go Purple on Wednesday, 11\/16"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s time to celebrate being a Riverbat! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Austin Community College invites the community to GO PURPLE on Wednesday, November 16, in celebration of Riverbat Day and in honor of the 12th birthday of our beloved mascot, R.B. the Riverbat.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To show support for ACC and to join us in celebration, we\u2019re asking our community to wear purple, and we hope you will join us, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also share a favorite Riverbat memory on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/about-acc\/riverbat\">R.B.&#8217;s webpage<\/a> <\/strong>or on the virtual message wall below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ACC&#8217;s New College Tradition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wednesday also will kick off a new college tradition at ACC. On Wednesday, November 16, ACC Highland will LIGHT UP PURPLE to honor the largest scholarship gift in the college\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LIGHT UP PURPLE is a new tradition at the college designed to recognize major college achievements, awards, and academic excellence. Other college campuses will soon light up purple, too.
