The deadline to submit comments is <strong>Thursday, August 31<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the Administrative Rules Update Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The college\u2019s administrative rules (AR) are informed by Board policy and need to be updated occasionally due to various reasons, such as changes to administrative or operational practices, organizational structure, laws, or legal codes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACC\u2019s shared governance model establishes two councils to review changes to these rules:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Administrative Services Council&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Academic and Student Affairs Council<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A third council, the Shared Governance Review Council, reviews and makes recommendations to the chancellor with respect to the structure, functions, and membership of councils and committees at ACC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a change is proposed to the respective council, it is presented to the ACC community. Employees have at least 20 days to comment on a proposed change.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After reviewing the feedback, the appropriate council can either send it to the chancellor to be signed or, if there are significant changes, it can be sent out for comment again.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Closed for Comments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Shared Governance Review Council passed on first reading to go out for comment the following&nbsp;Administrative&nbsp;Rule&nbsp;(AR) and Guideline\/Procedure (G\/P):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>2.0703.06 | <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1A9ZJbjLTbbmTT6nVesxtPQGatb0yOi0m\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Process for Ad Hoc Workgroups<\/strong><\/a><br>2.0703.06.1 | <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1N1hXXIGhCl_VKl6CyjPHCkeGjmDWSEEP\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Process for Ad Hoc Workgroups Guideline\/Procedure<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline for comments was <strong>Thursday, June 15, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;Administrative&nbsp;Services Council (ASC) has reviewed and approved proposed changes to the following&nbsp;Administrative&nbsp;Rule&nbsp;(AR) and Guideline\/Procedure (G\/P) and posted the drafts for&nbsp;comments&nbsp;from ACC employees:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>3.1200.01&nbsp;| <strong>Naming of Facilities\/Public Recognition<\/strong><br>3.1200.01.1&nbsp;|&nbsp;<strong>Naming of Facilities\/Public Recognition Guideline\/Procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline for&nbsp;comments&nbsp;was&nbsp;<strong>Thursday, May 25, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\" \/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>The&nbsp;Administrative&nbsp;Services&nbsp;Council (ASC) has reviewed and approved additional proposed changes to the following&nbsp;Guideline\/Procedure (G\/P) and posted the draft for&nbsp;comments&nbsp;from ACC employees:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>4.0503.03.1&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Non-Accrued Paid Leave Guideline\/Procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The G\/P was previously posted on 12\/7\/22. Additional proposed changes were added at the ASC meeting on 4\/5\/23:<br><br>&#8211;&nbsp; A maximum number of days that may be used within a 12-month period has been added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;&nbsp; Clause V., Personal Leave, has been removed due to redundancy (the content is incorporated into 4.0503.02 Accrued Leave).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline for&nbsp;comments&nbsp;was&nbsp;<strong>Tuesday,<\/strong> <strong>May 2, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Academic and Student Affairs Council (ASAC) met on February 3, 2023, and made the following decisions:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>Deferred action on the proposed changes to the administrative rule and the draft guidelines related to faculty evaluations.&nbsp;The ASAC members would like to provide additional opportunities for feedback on those two items. Comment deadline was <strong>April 1, 2023<\/strong>.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.1201.02 |<\/strong> <strong>Faculty Evaluations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.1201.02.1 | Faculty Evaluations Guidelines\/Procedures (new)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\" \/>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Approved on first reading two updates to administrative rules related to adjunct faculty to be sent out for comments.&nbsp;The first is <strong>AR 2.0703.03 | Adjunct Faculty Participation<\/strong> in Shared Governance, and the second is <strong>AR 4.0401.03 | Placement Credit for Adjunct Faculty<\/strong>. Comment deadline was <strong>March 1, 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Approved on first reading proposed additions to the <strong>TSI Completion course list<\/strong> to be sent out for comments.
