Two new candidates \u2014 Nathaniel Hellman and Steve Jackobs \u2014 are both running for Place 6. The seat is open following the end of Dr. Nora de Hoyos Comstock\u2019s term on the board.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACC board members serve staggered six-year terms and are elected at-large by registered voters who live within the ACC District, which includes the City of Austin as well as the Austin, Leander, Manor, Del Valle, Round Rock, Elgin, and Hays school districts. Voters join the ACC District through annexation and pay property taxes in exchange for increased services, reduced tuition, and the right to vote in district elections.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comprehensive election results will be posted to the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/offices\/campus-operations-and-public-affairs\/acc-elections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ACC Elections website<\/a><\/strong> on Election Day.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Austin Community College District voters will elect three Trustees to the ACC Board of Trustees Election Day, Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
