{"id":2588,"date":"2022-10-23T10:43:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-23T16:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/?p=2588"},"modified":"2022-11-01T11:26:04","modified_gmt":"2022-11-01T17:26:04","slug":"nominations-open-for-teaching-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/blog\/2022\/10\/23\/nominations-open-for-teaching-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Teaching Awards Nominations Close 10\/31"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Contributed by Teaching &amp; Learning Excellence Division Communications<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nominations for the<strong> ACC Teaching Excellence Awards, <\/strong>the <strong>DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty, <\/strong>and the<strong> E-Faculty of the Year Award<\/strong> are open.<strong> <\/strong>These awards recognize faculty who demonstrate outstanding teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ACC Teaching Excellence Awards<\/strong> honor full-time and adjunct faculty who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Exemplify the <a href=\"https:\/\/tled.austincc.edu\/faculty-values\"><strong>ACC Faculty Values<\/strong><\/a>.<a href=\"https:\/\/tled.austincc.edu\/faculty-values\">&nbsp;<\/a><\/li><li>Promote special learning opportunities, student interaction, and innovation that supports student success.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Full-time and adjunct faculty recipients will be sponsored to attend a higher education conference. <strong>Nominations are made by faculty, staff, and students.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter is-style-outline is-style-outline--1\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/web7.austincc.edu\/awards\/nominate.php?award_id=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Submit Nomination<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty<\/strong> honors nursing faculty who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Inspire their students to remember that nursing is more than tasks and technology.<\/li><li>Ensure that both the art and science of nursing are brought to every patient\u2019s experience.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recipient will receive a certificate, a special DAISY Award pin, and a Healer\u2019s Touch sculpture. <strong>Nominations are made by ACC staff, faculty, current students, and nursing student alumni.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter is-style-outline is-style-outline--2\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/web7.austincc.edu\/awards\/nominate.php?award_id=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Submit Nomination<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The E-Faculty of the Year Award<\/strong> recognizes faculty who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Creatively utilized appropriate Internet-based technologies to teach online and\/or hybrid courses at ACC<\/li><li>Have designed and taught one or more online or hybrid courses with an imaginative approach, well-designed course materials, instructional strategies, and a demonstrated rapport with the course participants<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recipient will be sponsored to attend a distance education conference. <strong>Nominations are made by faculty, instructional designers, and students.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter is-style-outline is-style-outline--3\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/web7.austincc.edu\/awards\/nominate.php?award_id=4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Submit Nomination<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recipients of these awards will be recognized at the ACC Awards Celebration in the spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deadline to submit a nomination is <strong>October 31, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To learn more about these awards, please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/austincc.edu\/awards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>austincc.edu\/awards<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Contributed by Teaching &amp; Learning Excellence Division Communications Nominations for the ACC Teaching Excellence Awards, the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty, and the E-Faculty of the Year Award are open.
