ACC offers child care support to help our students with children stay on track. Current ACC students may now enroll their kids, ages 2 to 10, in the college\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/education.austincc.edu\/child-lab-school\/evening-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Evening Care Program<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program is offered at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/campuses\/eastview-campus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Eastview Campus<\/strong><\/a> for $10 per night. There are reduced fees for families who qualify.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To qualify for Evening Care, parents must be enrolled in an ACC class on the evenings that their child(ren) attends. Parents taking online classes must remain on the Eastview Campus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Children are cared for by background-checked teachers with experience and education in child&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">care. The program runs Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and includes the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Both indoor and outdoor activities offering a variety of hands-on learning opportunities.<\/li><li>Activities such as homework help, board games, cooking, and family-style snack time are designed to imitate the family setting.<\/li><li>An opportunity to practice and learn life skills such as hand washing and preparing food.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parents are welcome to drop off and pick up their children at any time during the hours of operation based on their class schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1lHjpy6U2DLXomQ1E8VnJV0AFIlibMU8LPmUxziHJuTk\/edit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Find additional guidelines HERE.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The college also offers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/students\/child-care\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>vouchers, scholarships, and grants<\/strong><\/a> to help students cover the costs of child care.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSd54fsDlGsHI4y9YCKmxqqP1KfdejdLOSByg4OnJe4A4_2-lQ\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Have students REGISTER HERE.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To learn more about how the college is looking to expand child care services through the 2022 bond, <a href=\"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/happening-now\/acc-trustees-unanimously-approve-2022-bond-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>click HERE<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Attending school and raising children can be challenging.
