Fall sections can be assigned as soon as candidates complete the hiring process. <strong>Classes begin August 22.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Minimum qualifications<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Master\u2019s degree in English, Literature, Linguistics, or Creative Writing OR&nbsp;<\/li><li>Master\u2019s degree in any field with 18 graduate hours in these disciplines<\/li><li>College transcript(s) showing completed master\u2019s degree<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Things to know about dual-credit teaching assignments<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We deliver college courses to high school students on their high school campuses<\/li><li>Dual-credit students meet the same academic requirements as any other college student<\/li><li>Many teaching locations in the ACC service area (Austin metro area and surrounding counties)<\/li><li>Classes taught during the regular school day. Fall semester classes: English Composition I and British Literature I<\/li><li>For academic year 2022, the pay rate for new adjunct faculty with a master\u2019s degree is approximately $3,300 for a three-credit-hour class<\/li><li>A&nbsp;typical course load is two classes; three classes may be available&nbsp;<\/li><li>Assigned a faculty mentor before classes begin<\/li><li>Informative in-person orientation and pre-orientation support material<\/li><li>No need to reinvent the wheel; a departmental syllabus is in place for guidance; experienced faculty will share syllabi<\/li><li>ACC high school program coordinators assist with logistics and other problems\u2014even if you accept an assignment outside Austin, there is someone to help<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fill out an <a href=\"https:\/\/austincc.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/External\/details\/Adjunct-Faculty--Composition---Literary-Studies--Dual-Credit-_R-505?q=English&amp;timeType=2f34dcec13810172ce244b0c661f6000\"><strong>application<\/strong><\/a>.
