{"id":1627,"date":"2022-04-05T09:11:55","date_gmt":"2022-04-05T15:11:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/?p=1627"},"modified":"2022-04-18T09:02:18","modified_gmt":"2022-04-18T15:02:18","slug":"volunteer-to-help-keep-austin-beautiful","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/blog\/2022\/04\/05\/volunteer-to-help-keep-austin-beautiful\/","title":{"rendered":"Volunteer to help Keep Austin Beautiful!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Keep Austin Beautiful Day<\/strong> is Saturday, April 9, and ACC invites all Riverbats to participate in a park cleanup event to celebrate the day of service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACC Disc Golf Club hosts the &#8220;Reawaken Bartholomew Park Project.\u201d ACC faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to come out and help collect litter and recycling at the east Austin park from 9-11 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volunteers are asked to wear comfortable clothes like long-sleeve shirts, pants, and closed-toe shoes and to bring a full water bottle, a snack, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/givepul.se\/hadl6g\"><strong>Sign up to volunteer here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About Keep Austin Beautiful Day<\/strong><br>Each April, Keep Austin Beautiful hosts Keep Austin Beautiful Day, a county-wide day of service spanning 100+ sites in 31 zip codes in the greater Austin area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keep Austin Beautiful Day mobilizes 2,000 volunteers every year, who remove 25,000-30,000 pounds of litter, plant trees and gardens, restore native habitats, and beautify neighborhoods.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACC is a sponsor of the 2022 Keep Austin Beautiful Day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Keep Austin Beautiful Day is Saturday, April 9, and ACC invites all Riverbats to participate in a park cleanup event to celebrate the day of service.
