{"id":1567,"date":"2022-03-10T13:55:21","date_gmt":"2022-03-10T19:55:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/?p=1567"},"modified":"2022-03-10T13:55:23","modified_gmt":"2022-03-10T19:55:23","slug":"acc-strategic-plan-extended-to-study-covid-impact","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/blog\/2022\/03\/10\/acc-strategic-plan-extended-to-study-covid-impact\/","title":{"rendered":"ACC Strategic Plan extended to study COVID impact"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Austin Community College Board of Trustees approved extending the college\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/business-community\/strategic-plan\"><strong>Strategic Plan<\/strong><\/a> at its March 7 meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The extension allows the college time to take a focused look into how ACC will reenvision the strategic focus due to COVID-19. The pandemic highlighted the need for the college to explore new ways to offer instruction and unexpected student challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACC Chancellor Dr. Richard Rhodes will review a comprehensive Strategic Plan to support student success for everyone and encompass the needs of the entire institution. Based on current and future community needs, the plan will include a mission statement, values, vision, goals and objectives, and an implementation plan.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plan expired on December 31, 2021. The extension allows the plan to begin being implemented on September 1, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The college will develop the timeline and process \u2014 which will include internal and external feedback \u2014 and hire a consultant over the next few months.
