Austin Community College District (ACC) invites students, faculty, staff, and community partners to participate in Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT) Week 2022 January 17\u201421. The virtual events include workshops, film screenings, and racial healing circles meant to heal wounds the community may be feeling towards racial, gender, and equality issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe TRHT center is a space where we can have intentional conversations, learning, and growth around diversity issues,\u201d says Dr. Khayree Williams, ACC\u2019s Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Center director. \u201cTogether we can find a way to engage in this work and continue to make this a better place and community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Do We Stand Up for Social Justice!?\u201d <\/strong> 1 to 2:30 p.m.: National Day of Racial Healing: Impacting Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation through the Arts 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.: Racial Healing Circle Noon to 1:15 p.m.: \u201cWomen of Color Succeeding in the Tech Industry\u201d 3 to 4:15 p.m.: \u201cWill Smith Book Club Launch Party\u201d 3 to 4:30 p.m.: \u201cMental Health and Healing in Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Circles\u201d 10 to 11:30 a.m.: Keynote Speaker for the TLED\/TRHT Noon to 1 p.m.: Round Rock presents \u201cHealing Requires Unity\u201d ACC is one of the select national institutions chosen to serve as a TRHT. The Campus Center will focus on eliminating system-inflicted trauma and harmful impacts on the community.
