{"id":1347,"date":"2022-01-13T08:54:02","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T14:54:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/?p=1347"},"modified":"2022-01-13T08:54:03","modified_gmt":"2022-01-13T14:54:03","slug":"nonprofit-austin-at-acc-announces-coworking-space-for-nonprofits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/blog\/2022\/01\/13\/nonprofit-austin-at-acc-announces-coworking-space-for-nonprofits\/","title":{"rendered":"Nonprofit Austin at ACC announces coworking space for nonprofits"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Austin Community College District (ACC) is launching a coworking, meeting, and event space for community-based organizations to help foster deeper collaboration and mutually beneficial opportunities between the college and local nonprofits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Nonprofit Austin (NPA) at ACC CommunitySpace will provide critical resources to local nonprofits including:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>office and coworking space for rent,<\/li><li>information and assistance with grants research, and<\/li><li>stronger pathways between students and community-based organizations for both services and experiential learning opportunities.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis initiative leverages ACC\u2019s role in the community, meeting a critical nonprofit need \u2013 physical meeting space \u2013 and the unique value proposition of ACC, to create an essential asset to better the Greater Austin community,\u201d says Barry Silverberg, executive director of ACC\u2019s Center for Nonprofit Studies and Nonprofit Austin. \u201cAdditionally, revenue generated from this initiative will fund ACC student scholarships.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CommunitySpace will occupy 7,200 square feet of the first floor of ACC\u2019s Highland Business Center.
