The 2022 theme, \u201cLight Your Fire,\u201d invites employees to explore professional development topics that fuel their purpose and sense of belonging. Bring your \u201clight side\u201d dedication to student success and get ready to battle the \u201cdark side\u201d forces of deficit mindsets, low expectations, and implicit bias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Samuel Echevarria-Cruz has been teaching Sociology for two decades at academic institutions like The University of Texas at Austin, The Ohio State University, Concordia University Texas, and ACC.
