{"id":2077,"date":"2022-08-29T09:55:51","date_gmt":"2022-08-29T15:55:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/?page_id=2077"},"modified":"2025-11-19T14:11:41","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T20:11:41","slug":"faculty-development-evaluation-committee","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/shared-governance\/shared-governance-councils-committees\/academic-student-affairs-council\/faculty-development-evaluation-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"Faculty Development &amp; Evaluation Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Functions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Researches the current literature and available data to recommend appropriate faculty development and faculty evaluation procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seeks data from all areas of the college regarding the effectiveness of faculty development procedures and activities, including evaluation of faculty development activities and disseminating the results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reviews, develops and recommends revisions to collegewide administrative rules and procedures for faculty development and faculty evaluation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develops and recommends guidelines and good practices for the design and delivery of faculty development, and the appropriate and effective forms, instruments, and processes for faculty evaluation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommends professional faculty activities and needed resources based on input from internal and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommends procedures for linking faculty development activities with needs identified in the faculty evaluation process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develops and recommends a comprehensive, valid, and reliable, faculty evaluation process for ACC that complies with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) requirements, Austin Community College District\u2019s Board Policies and Administrative Rules, and reflects good practices.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Committee recommendations are forwarded to the Academic &amp; Student Affairs Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meeting Schedule and Frequency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Meets virtually, third Friday every other month<br>1-3 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure id=\"tablesaw-2389\" class=\"wp-block-table is-style-regular\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>FALL 2025<\/th><th>SPRING 2026<\/th><th>SUMMER 2026<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>September 19<br>November 21<\/td><td>January 30<br>March 27<br>May 15<\/td><td>No meetings<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/fdfe\/\">Agendas and minutes<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Questions?
