Ombuds Day, October 14, is a day to celebrate and learn about the vital role of the ombuds. The day has been recognized by the Governor of Texas in a proclamation that recognizes the value of ombuds in many roles.

ACC hired Amanda Dean to serve as the college’s first Ombudsperson for faculty and staff in 2019. The Office of the Ombuds was created to serve as a confidential, neutral, informal, and independent forum for ACC employees.
