ACC is seeking applicants who want to grow in their understanding of and active engagement in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. A Provost Allyship Fellow will have the opportunity to build their skills in promoting social justice at a community college.

This allyship will support professional growth and engagement in the power of alliances with other faculty, students, staff, and the community to reduce or eliminate the biases (conscious or unconscious), blind spots, and ignorance that can lead to inequities in teaching and learning. 

An ally will be willing to:

  • Educate themselves about different identities and experiences,
  • Challenge their own discomfort and prejudices,
  • Learn and practice the skills of being an ally, 
  • Take action at ACC to create interpersonal, departmental, and institutional change.

The position is for one full academic year (12 months) and can be renewed for an additional year based on annual performance evaluations. The position includes teaching 12 semester credit hours each fall and spring semester and 6 semester credit hours in the summer.
